Rato Bangala School was founded by Shanta Dixit and Milan Dixit in 1992 with a commitment to transform Nepali education since then the school has grown to be a leader in progressive education and a pioneer in improving the quality of instruction in private and government schools across Nepal.

Situated in the historic city of Patan, Rato Bangala’s verdant campus is refreshing and tranquil. Classrooms are spacious and professionally designed to serve as classroom spaces. They are airy and bright with age-appropriate furniture. The well-equipped classrooms help in implementing the philosophy of hands-on experiential learning. Seating within a class is flexible, and any arrangement reflects the planned activity.

Library

The library is the nerve center of the school and provides students with a curated collection of Nepali and English literature. Reading habits are encouraged to create life-long learners.

Reading Room

The reading room is well-stocked with attractive, handpicked picture books for children and audio-visual facilities.

 

Interactive Learning

Auditorium

The Kamalmani Theater is the state-of-the-art auditorium of Rato Bangala that seats 450 people. It is used regularly for special lectures, theater, assemblies, conferences, and external examinations.

Audio-Visual Room

This well-equipped space can accommodate up to 60 students at a time. The students and guest lecturers regularly feature their presentations here.

The  School has five well-equipped science laboratories.

Computer Lab

Three computer labs are equipped with the relevant software and high-speed broadband internet connection.

Spacious School Buildings

Five spacious buildings provide the facilities needed for the school to run comfortably.

Cowshed

The cowshed with multiple cows provides a farm experience to the children who study animals and food.

Wooded Area

A small rewilded wooded area with local utis trees welcomes students into the school compound.

Plaza

The plaza with a crisscrossing of Kashmiri Almonds,  provides play space for students.

Dining Hall

A warm and healthy lunch is served daily to all students and staff members. Primary-grade students have an additional snack at the dining hall. 

Herb Garden

Vegetable Garden, Flower Garden, and Herb Garden:  Garden space is provided to children to grow vegetables, plant rice, and cultivate herbs and flowers matching their curriculum.
