| Parents at Rato Bangala
The role of parents in the growth and well-being of the child is of paramount importance. Research has shown time and again that whenever parents and schools work together children are happy and stimulated. Working together, the School and the parents can expect a much better "product" – the child – than if each of them decides to work alone. Rato Bangala School respects the important role of the parents and seeks their wholehearted collaboration. We have observed that a supportive parent who believes in the School's philosophy is essential if a child is to work at his/her academic and social potential.
There are many events held by the school where parents are invited. Parents make the time to come to see these events and be a part of the Rato Bangala Family.
Parent Representatives
In addition to providing important background support to their children, parents at Rato Bangala volunteer to participate. This participation takes two forms: The Parent Representatives, and the Parent Teacher Association.
Parent Teacher Association
There are 6 parents and 6 teachers in the PTA and the Director/Principal. Two parents each represent Grades 1 - 3, 4 - 6 and 7 - 10 respectively. Parents qualify for PTA representative candidate only after their child has completed a year at Rato Bangala.
Mission statement of the PTA: We believe that a partnership between the school and the parents will ensure that we meet our common goal of providing a holistic education to our students through mutually respectful interactions in the spirit of the mission and philosophy of Rato Bangala School.
