Students generally pursue several extra-curricular activities from the long list of opportunities offered by the school or organised by students themselves.

High school play

A high school play is staged generally once every few years. These plays bring the school together, and the proceeds are used to upgrade school facilities or are donated to charitable causes outside the school. Some very successful plays in the past have been West Side Story, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth.

Special interest clubs

A-Level students are encouraged to run special interest clubs with the help of a teacher mentor. These clubs are initiated by students and encouraged and supported by the school administration. Students interested in initiating a club must first write a proposal and get it approved. Some examples of special interest clubs follow.

Model United Nations

Rato Bangala holds the Model UN conference each year and A level students participate in international Model UN conferences.

The Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations and an educative and informative undertaking through which students improve their research skills, writing, public speaking and negotiation skills. It gives them an in depth knowledge on major international issues and provides a multi-dimensional learning opportunity.
