At the end of this eventful academic year, we would like to thank all the members of the Rato Bangala family for putting in the hard work required to fulfill the ambitious visions of RBS. The TEAM spirit that is at the core of the school has enabled us to complete yet another successful year.
Fuel Crisis
For the first time in the 16-year history of the school, we were unable to serve lunch for a few days this year due to the shortage of cooking gas. We set our priority--to continue to open school as long as we could--and cut down on dining hall facilities instead. Thanks also goes to Dakchinkali Yatayat and Mr. Kiran Thapa for ensuring that we did not miss a single school day during the crisis.
Change in School Timing
As announced earlier, the school day at Rato Bangala School will be moved ahead by 30 minutes. Teachers and students will be in school by 8:00 am, morning assembly will begin at 8:15 and classes will begin 8:30 am. The school will close at 3:00 p.m. for most students but at 4:00 p.m. for grades IX-A2 and teachers. On days that we have after-school activities, school will close at 4:00 pm.
Clothes for the Needy
We would like to thank all the families that donated clothes to Nyanopan. Your help is much appreciated. Leela Thapa, Karan Thakur, Sriya Pant and Cecelia Rana, the A Level students coordinating the clothes drive for Nyanopan, also need to be thanked for their sustained effort.

Brilliance in Nepal 2007
Cambridge International Examinations and British Council hosted an award ceremony at Hotel Yak and Yeti on 25 March, 2008, to celebrate the achievements of A-Level students in Nepal. Rato Bangala students received an unprecedented number of awards in a wide range of subjects, demonstrating yet again that RBS stands for quality at an international level. Some of our students secured the highest marks in the world as well as in Nepal. We would like to extend our congratulations to the students and to the RBS staff and teachers who over the years so painstakingly groomed students who can show this kind of result. We would also like to thank the parents of the award winners, who worked together with the teachers to help their children grow so well. Below are those who received awards.

We take this opportunity to underscore the fact that students who develop good work habits are the ones who are at the top. They are those who receive support and guidance at home and who have a positive attitude towards work. In order to ensure that your children perform to the best of their abilities, it is important that they begin when they are young.
Congratulations once again to the
Rato Bangala Family.
